1940-1954 Chevrolet Car Manual Master Cylinder Conversion Kit By design, a single reservoir master cylinder will operate and function without any problems. But what happens when a leak develops in the front or rear? You guessed it, you do not have brakes. The safe route is to convert that truck over to a much safer dual reservoir master cylinder. Convertibles may require additional modifications.
