Plenty of Go & Plenty of WHOA
2016 is starting off with – as ROTM winner Joey Cartwright puts it – plenty of Go! and plenty of WHOA!! Thanks to all our recent Ride Of The Month submitters and especially to our winner for January 2016.
The fabulous 1955 Ford Crown Victoria shown below is owned by Joey and Debbie Cartwright of Jacksonville, Florida. When we asked for some back-story on the car, here is what Joey told us:
“The 351 Windsor engine with Edelbrock High Performance upgrades provides plenty of ‘GO’ while the MII front suspension and discs powered by MPBrakes 8″ dual diaphragm booster/master cylinder combo provides plenty of ‘WHOA’.”
The Deets
The couple’s restoration modifications include custom two-tone “Creamsicle” paint, louvered hood, hand pin-striping, custom interior, Vintage Air A/C, LoKar shifter, 59′ Lancer hub caps and American Classic Wide White Wall tires.
Joey commented, “The chrome upgrade [to the booster and master cylinder] was well worth the added expense and is definitely a focal point under-the-hood which accentuates the other chrome components, and always get positive comments at car shows and cruise-ins. Thanks for a great product and outstanding customer support!”
He also managed to throw out some extra props to Trevor Hignutt here at Master Power Brakes, thanking Trevor “for providing expert assistance and technical support to ensure we received the correct booster and master cylinder to properly enhance our classic car braking system.”
