1964 Pontiac Catalina Convertible
Kerry Love sent us some wonderful photos and the back story of her Father-In-Law’s ’64 Pontiac Catalina. And this month we are pleased to invite Henry Yox to the “Ride of The Month” table. Henry, c’mon down and join us!
Here is the story Kerry sent in:
My Father-In-Law (Henry Yox) wanted to purchase a 1964 Pontiac Catalina convertible because it was the first car he and his beloved wife of 56 years bought new together. Henry’s wife passed away last October.
After looking for a while, we found this car at the Volo Auto Museum in Illinois. The Catalina was a frame-off restoration when Henry purchased it. We wanted it to stop better than stock brakes so we ordered a front disc brake kit and new master cylinder and booster from you at MP Brakes. We replaced all the upper and lower control arm bushings while we had everything apart as they were worn. Put on a set of nice 17” chrome wheels and new tires to give it a nice look. Henry loves this car and polishes on this car a couple times a week. He just wished his wife was here to take a ride in it with him.
